Hello my beautiful people what's popping? It's elder  curtis  from the great white North coming at ya with another email. It's been a little while, ey. So this week was transfers. Absolutely bonkers. Not cause I got moved but because we had to pick up new missionaries, conduct orientation, coordinate transfers for the rest of the mission, take new missionaries home, and work our area haha. From Monday to Thursday I was running on about 12 hours of sleep total. Kinda crazy. Weirdest part was taking my trainer elder Garibaldi home. He brought me into the mission and i got to take him out of it haha. I think because we were so busy the Lord made up the difference for the work in our area. We had 6 friends at church, 3 of whom we didn't even invite! Angel came, she said she woke up early and knew that she had to come to church today. She stayed for both hours! Legend. Hello my amazing people. Weird email bc got p day moved but oh well asi sigimos Well these last weeks have been crazy. We've been in countless meetings so when we've been able to work in our area we have had to be super focused. Our friends that we are teaching right now are not super focused. But yea the big news was zone conference!! And on top of that a mission tour with the one and only Elder Bangeter. Man what an awesome person! He was so nice. He also just gave a conference talk on foreordination, and talked about that with us which was so cool. I learned so much, tbh I can't share a lot of it here it was kind of personal but wow wow wow revelation is awesome! I invite you all to listen to his conference talk, called Foreordained to Serve. The miracle this week was pretty sweet.... it was at the end of two back to back zone conferences and an MLC. Howdy folks. Crazy week. I'll give y'all the readers digest version: -learned kinrawandan (an African language)- "bite bite amakuru!" -our friends jackson and esperance came to church .  God is so good. They don't speak any English haha so we had some French speaking members help -went to many many meetings.  -found many new, fascinating, interesting people to teach -went on an exchange back to Lago Lindo! It was actually so insane. Felt really weird to be in the area where I started my mission... we found 2 dope mexicans we started teaching there . -visited elder ospina! Gave me a dope hair cut. I told him he will be cutting my hair before my wedding, he laughed. I hope he knew I was serious . I am loving the mission. It's a cliche at this point, but truly it has been the hardest, best time of my life. Love you all! Que siguen luchando! Elder  Curtis

Hello all, welcome back to the weekly update from the great white North. This week didn't feel like we were very far North though, we had a heat wave here in Edmonton and our apartment doesn't have AC. So. . .  (literally pov last night) This week was probably the busiest of my mission. We had more meetings than I could count, 2 exchanges, and so many lessons. First exchange I went with good ol Elder McHoes on the west side of the city. We had a great time and talked about the importance of talking to literally everyone you see. He seemed quite fired up after the exchange so I considered it a success. Then we went on down to Red Deer. It's the most southern town in the mission so we went road trippin. Exchanged with elder strong, he's a good Elder. He speaks tagolag which is good cause there are a whole bunch of Philippinos for some reason in that town. We had a great time. Well this one was a week for the books. My new area is called Londonderry. It is like a pizza slice of the city of Edmonton, probably about 1/8 of the area. But man oh man are there a lot of people here. I am not exaggerating when i say that 80% are black. I've met people from Sudan, Kenya, Uganda, Nigeria, Ghana, Congo, Liberia, Eritrea, and Tanzania. And a couple other ones I've never heard of before. So that's been sweet.  My new companion is Elder Arnold, he's so funny. We get along so well together. We're so busy i can hardly believe it. These past few days have felt like a whirlwind. We've had so many lessons and we literally talk with everyone, it's so nice. I'll be talking to someone on the street, then he'll go talk to someone else who walks by, and we'll just keep going back and forth until there are no more people. I love it. Life is good! Bonkers week in the books right here. It was actually a really good week. We worked really hard and saw some miracles. Here's some highlights! -talked to my boy Ahadi on the street (he's from the Congo) Well we gave him and his wife a church tour and turns out they have 5 kids. I about leaped for joy! They said they'd come to church but didn't, we're hoping next week tho. Prayers up for Ahadi and his family! -then we had a new member come out of the works to help us with like all of our lessons, his name is brother Todd. Legend. He's a bit odd, but his testimony is fuego. -had a sick lesson with our new friend Efosa. We explained the restoration and he understood completely. He said "I need to read this book!"
