Missionary Release Information

Dear parents -

I am pleased to inform you that Elder William Curtis will conclude his mission and be returning home on 12 Jun 2025. We have attached his travel itinerary for that day to this email,  for your planning.   We have also attached some information regarding tuberculosis that we have been requested to send you. Please review it with your missionary.

This is an exciting time for your family. We know that there will be some adjustments ahead: in order to prepare, you may wish to review some of the articles the church website makes available to assist missionaries. We have attached three for convenience, but there are many more:

  1. Finding My New Normal After My Mission  by Breanne Su'a  (https://www.churchofjesuschrist.org/study/liahona/2021/02/digital-only-young-adults/finding-my-new-normal-after-my-mission?lang=eng)
  2. Covenant Living: A Guide For Returned Missionaries  by Sadie Taylor-Jenks (https://www.churchofjesuschrist.org/study/liahona/2021/02/young-adults/covenant-living-a-guide-for-returned-missionaries?lang=eng)
  3. * Ways to Stay Strong after your Mission (https://www.churchofjesuschrist.org/study/liahona/2022/09/digital-only-young-adults/8-ways-to-stay-strong-after-your-mission?lang=eng#p10)

Elder Curtis has served a faithful mission. He is loved and respected by his fellow missionaries and the members with whom he has laboured. Those individuals he has helped to gain the light of the gospel will always love him and hold him in great admiration. He has entered the lifelong endeavor to live a Christ-centred life and to exemplify the teachings of our Savior whom he has faithfully served.

Your son has learned the truths and habits that will help him succeed as a spouse, a father, in his career, and in his service in the Kingdom. His testimony is strong, and he is better prepared to face the many opportunities and challenges that will face him in the future.

We are grateful for the service of Elder Curtis in the Canada Edmonton Mission. Thank you for sending such a choice young man to labour with us.

Faithfully yours,

Jack L. Stott, President

Canada Edmonton Mission
