Week 90 Ya: Step #5 Endure To The End

Image
Buen dia mi gente que lo que Today is my 90th Monday as a missionary. How crazy is that? Time flies when you're serving the Lord. Cool miracle this week. We were knocking doors, basically no one was answering and none of them were latino. Triste. Then we went to a lesson where our friend dropped us. Even more triste. As we're walking back to the car, we get a notification on our phones. Someone texted us and asked us if they could come to church. Could you come to church? Please and thank you. So we set up a church tour on Saturday and they came to church on sunday. Liliana and Alex from Columbia. God is so good! BTW my friend Morgan got baptized on saturday in another ward! So hyped for him Spiritual thought: The last step in the doctrine of Christ is enduring to the end. Now that doesn't mean griting your teeth and holding on until you die lol. It means giving it your all until the end. Oftentimes this is hard for us. We get tired or bored or lazy. But the true mark of a ...

Week 88: Story Time

Just one from this week. Finishing up our night, we had comp study in the house. As I'm pulling into our parking spot, I have a strong thought (no other word to describe it haha): go visit David and El Salvador. They live about 3 minutes away. So we go to their house. We've stopped by like 8 times, they have never answered. This time, they did on the first knock. We walk in there and teach them a fantastic, Spirit inspired lesson about putting off the natural man from the Book of Mormon. They promise us that they will read it. Our member that we gave a video call to testified powerfully of how it has helped him. Then, we went back home. Moments like these are so precious to me. I know that what Moroni tells us is true: "And by the power of the Holy Ghost ye may know the truth of all things." He will guide us, if we are worthy! Elder Curtis Ps. My friend in Grande Prairie got baptized! English class with some homies

Hey y'all! It's your favorite temporary Canadian. Funnily enough, Canadians are quite patriotic, and it's rubbing off on me. every time I see the big ol , I just want to start singing " oh canada" It was a great week. Highlight was definitely when I got to take our friend Tatiana to the baptism of Ricky Spitzer! That's right he finally did it. The readers digest version of the story is when I got to the ward, I learned that he wasn't baptized, but the rest of his family was. I asked sister Spitzer (his wife) if I could come over and share a message with their family. She looked at me and said, "You can, but I know what you're trying to do. My husband is not interested in the gospel." I said ok. That first lesson was about prayer. Bro spitzer sat in on the lesson. At the end, I was prompted to invite brother spitzer to say the closing prayer. I was pretty scared especially because sister spitzer was right there staring daggers at me haha but h...
