Week 77: Just Pray

This week was really great. Honestly felt like all of our hard work over the past month all came together. We found so many new friends and had a bunch of lessons with our members as well. It's been hard cause everyone this time of year is so busy! But God blessed us and helped members come to a lot of our lessons.

Our friends Adam, Morgan, Andre, and Josephine came to church this sunday! Adam is planning on being baptized on the 21st. Morgan is struggling with some addictions but loves coming to church, he wants to be baptized in the new year. Andre and Josephine are both from the Congo, and only speak French. But we've got some awesome members who are helping to fellowship them.

A favorite scripture of mine recently has been Moroni 7:26-

And after that he came men also were saved by faith in his name; and by faith, they become the sons of God. And as surely as Christ liveth he spake these words unto our fathers, saying: Whatsoever thing ye shall ask the Father in my name, which is good, in faith believing that ye shall receive, behold, it shall be done unto you.

The last part is so powerful. Whatever we ask, in faith believing that we shall receive, shall be done unto us. All it takes is faith. I've applied that to my personal prayers this week. Every time I've prayed this week I've pleaded with everything I have for my friends, the members of my ward, and the people who live in my boundaries to be prepared to receive the gospel. And we've seen miracles! All it's taken has been a bit more effort and faith. I know that no matter what you're going through right now, you can find peace in Christ through prayer.
