Our friend Revenelle got baptized this week! Honestly one of my favorite people in Canada. She was a member referral from about 3 months ago (here's your daily reminder to do some member missionary work) and she had to fight off so many attacks from Satan to get baptized! But she trusted in the promise we gave her that reading the book of Mormon would bring peace and joy. She was very emotional during her baptism and confirmation. It was such an eye-opener for me, cause as a missionary you feel the spirit so much. But once she received the gift of the Holy Ghost, she felt the difference. Very humbling.
Sitting in sacrament meeting on sunday looking at our congregation, I gained a newfound testimony of the gathering of Israel. As a missionary, i've talked to and taught people from 70+ countries! We also have an incredibly diverse congregation, people from the congo, Ghana, Hati, newfoundland, Philippines, and a large number of Native Americans. They were all there, in the same room, worshiping the same God. It made me think of a verse I'd read this week in 3rd Nefi:
And it came to pass that when he had thus spoken, all the multitude, with ONE ACCORD, did go forth with their sick and their afflicted, and their lame, and with their blind, and with their dumb, and with all them that were afflicted in any manner; and he did heal them every one as they were brought forth unto him.
Differences can divide us so much. Differences in culture, language, and attitude can make life difficult. But Jesus can heal us if we come unto Him AS ONE!
This is what the gathering of Israel is about. Helping the world to become one!
Chao,

My best friend Revenelle!
