Semana 53: Grande Prairie Vs. God's Army
So back to the grind... this week was kinda wild.
Tbh I only really wanna talk about 2 days this week. Saturday and Sunday. Saturday I woke up and was stoked for the day. We had about 6-7 lessons planned (absolutely unheard of for Canada, much less grande prairie) annnnnd all of them canceled. So then we spent the whole rest of the day walking around getting Bible bashed downtown. Literally everyone we talked to seemed to be having a bad day/wanted to show these two missionaries that they were so so very wrong lol.
Sunday rolled around. We had 9 of our friends come and the Spanish family that we'd been teaching come as well. It was so miraculous. We also started the spanish 2nd hour! It was so lit. I kept thinking, how can these two days be so close together? Saturday was so awful, and Sunday was so good!
Made me think of a classic, a scripture that's gotten me through some of the hardest times of my life: D&C 122:7
And if thou shouldst be cast into the pit, or into the hands of murderers, and the sentence of death passed upon thee; if thou be cast into the deep; if the billowing surge conspire against thee; if fierce winds become thine enemy; if the heavens gather blackness, and all the elements combine to hedge up the way; and above all, if the very jaws of hell shall gape open the mouth wide after thee, know thou, my son, that all these things shall give thee experience, and shall be for thy good.
Sometimes you have to go through a Saturday to have a Sunday.
