Semana 34: El Bautismo De DIEGO

Buenas a todos, que mas, como anadan

Wow this week was so good. We had Diego's baptism this Saturday which was so spiritually powerful it about knocked my socks off. Diego is such an awesome guy and he was so ready for his baptism. We had about the whole barrio pull up (let's go thank you members) to support Diego in his special day, and the talks were so awesome. I loved it, but more importantly Diego was so happy. Whooooo hooo what a great day!

Had a mini milagro with our friends Santiago and Ronald, to make a long story short there was sum drama and it looked like they dropped us, but we called them up Sunday morning and they pulled up to church!!! We're shooting for this Saturday for Ronalds baptism and Santiago the week after, so if I could get some mighty prayers of exceedingly great faith for my friends, that would be so swell.

Me and Elder ospina have been cooking up about +80 different ideas about missionary work here in the south. It's so fun to just bounce ideas off someone who's willing to work with you to realize them. One of them is to make a lesson "playbook" and think of all the most common needs that our friends have, then create lessons to address them. We already got 2 "plays," oveja and juego. Let's just say they're lit.

Spiritual thought:
I love come follow me so so much! Absolutely 110% inspired. This week was a banger as well because it had arguably my favorite chapter in the standard works, 2 nefi 2! Something new I've been trying is watching the videos and pretending I'm an investigator, cause every single time I ask someone if they'd rather read the chapter or watch the video they say watch the video (duh) and so I want to be able to teach powerfully and effectively from the videos. They gotta learn how to read it too, but baby steps. I digress, this chapter is so cool! Mostly because it is so applicable and genuinely interesting. An example: I think when everyone reads, "There must needs be that there is an opposition in all things" you've gotta start thinking about your own life and when you've seen opposition. Then you're likening the scriptures unto yourself and the spirit can start working on you. Game over. So liken the scriptures unto yourselves so that you can feel the spirit everyone!

Love you all so much! Ik it's that time of year, everyone's thinking about going on a mission, let me be the first one to tell you if you're even thinking about serving, do it. My mission has meant everything to me. I'm not gonna liƩ to you, it's been the hardest thing I've ever done in my life, and it will be the hardest thing you ever do. But it will be the best thing that will ever happen to you.

K getting off my soap box. Have a great week!

Elder Curtis
