Well I think I say it every week but this time I really mean it haha the week was absolutely bonkers. Let's start at the top.
So this tuesday I woke up and I felt absolutely awful. But we had a lesson with one of our progressing friends that day that we absolutely could not cancel (her name is Carolina) so I decided to tough it out. Well it got worse and worse and worse until we got to the lesson. Now I would like to be able to tell you all that a miracle happened during the lesson and I felt perfectly fine, but naw, sick to my stomach the whole time. Well we ended up putting her on date and we left the lesson, drove to get some lunch, and at the lunch place I proceeded to lose the contents of my stomach. Spend the rest of the day out of comisión.
Now here comes Wednesday, TRANSFER NEWS! Get this: I'm leaving Lago Lindo. Pretty gosh darn sad actually, the branch members are sweet and we had 6 people on date for baptism. But the Lord needs me..... in the south! El barrio Río Vista! And my new companion is Elder Ospina from Columbia.
Let me just say up front that I can not say enough good things about this elder. He's gotta be one of the nicest people i've ever met, he's an absolutely stellar teacher, and all the latinos absolutely adore him. We are gonna work so gosh darn hard this transfer. We already put 2 friends on date down here for baptism; let's gooo.
The ward is lit too, it's a bigger than from where I came from, which is nice. Not gonna lié sacrament meeting felt very strange. But the ward members are lit, every one that I've met has been awesome. I'm looking forward to the future!
One new missionary skill that I learned from Elder ospina this week is enthusiasm. When he teaches, it is with all of the energy of his heart. You can tell he cares in the way he talks, the way he looks at you, and the tone of voice. This is something that I want to be able to emulate in my teaching and also just how I live my missionary life.
Ok chau all of you awesome people! You're all doing amazing. Don't be a stranger, shoot me an email!
Adiós,
