6 Months.
Well ladies and gentlemen elders and sisters I apologize for this late email. I've had some of the craziest past two weeks of my mission thus far. But first off.... I've hit 6 months! Wow time flies. I swear yesterday I was set apart and an hour ago I arrived in Edmonton, but no. These have been the greatest 6 months of growth in my life. I've had the blessing of having these past 6 months to think about others, learn to love others, and most importantly, learn to love my Savior. He lives, and He loves you more than you could know. I've been able to try to emulate that love for the spanish speaking people of Canada Edmonton, of all places! That's been one of the greatest testimony builders of my life, to see that God knows His people. Each one of His children is numbered in heaven. Even if you're an immigrant from Viña del Mar, or from Micocan, or Lima, there are two elders in north Edmonton ready to help you out. God is in the details!
Anyways, the reason that I couldn't send an email last week is cause we took a trip to Jasper last Friday and we worked on last p-day. Which was kinda tiring, but oh well. We went with this inactive family named the Colemans, and they were awesome. I got to see the mountainous parts of Canada, and have one last hurrah with Elder Vital (little did I know that he would be getting transferred in a week....)
And then, two days later, we put a family that we've been meeting with for a while on date! Then our friend Jahir from Perú! Woooo! Crazy miracles. Prayers for la familia Martinez and Jahir so they can make their dates!
Then right after, transfers happened. Elder Vital is out, and Elder Reichner and Elder Newslander are in. Elder Reichner has 17 months on his mission, Newslander has 2. So we have quite the age range of elders here in this apartment. It's gonna be a party.
The work is fun. I'm loving it. Pray for the people we're teaching so they can progress. I love you all! Don't be scared to reach out!
