Greetings From Provo
Hello everyone. Welcome to William Curtis's email list! Within these emails, you will find touching heartfelt spiritual moments, incredible laughs, and everything in between. I hope that you'll be entertained and uplifted as you read these emails each week.
Since last Monday, I've been attending the amazing, the wonderful, the absolutely incredible online MTC. Now, you might not think that staring at a computer for 12 hours a day can help you feel the spirit, but boy would you be wrong! It was insane to see how close I got to my boys of distrito 24-J just over zoom. I also got to see what kind of people I'd be serving with in my mission (see video enclosed at the bottom.) I love these guys and am so excited to meet them in person today. In other news, my original companion, Elder Lloyd, was not able to come to the online MTC because he broke his back. So I floated along by myself for about two days until the best companions, Elders Moll and K (I can't spell his last name lol) graciously decided to adopt me. So I'm in my first trio ever! We've been able to teach a lesson together and our chemistry is dope, so I'm stoked to meet them in person.
In my personal study, I've been tackling Jesus The Christ by James Talmage (per the recommendation of my dearest older brother Elder Curtis senior.) It's a fantastic book. In the third chapter, it talks about the foreordination of Christ and how his coming was prophesied of by Old Testament prophets. It impressed upon me the importance of listening to our modern day prophet, President Russel M. Nelson. I would invite you all to reread his last talk in conference titled "Peacemakers Needed."
It really is terrific and is inspired by God.
Today I will enter the provo MTC! I'm so excited to enter this new phase of my mission. Thank you to everyone who helped me get here.
Dios vive!
