Que lo que mi gente, que bacan la semana Great week! The area is beginning to move in the right direction. I'm gonna be completely honest when I started here again in Rio Vista I was quite concerned cause the area was blank, but we have had the Lord Himself working side-by-side with us lately. Here's the highlights TATIANA: Super cool lady, has lived here in Canada for 3 weeks, has felt super lonely but we have introduced her to everyone in the ward! She came to church on sunday, loved it, will be coming to a baptism on Saturday, total milagro! Dylan: absolute king. Unbaptized youth bc his parents have had drama with the ward but he wants to get baptized! We're gonna set a date next lesson and re activate his family  Diana: actually found her when I was here last time haha she told me so but I did not recognize her (awkward) really awesome and wants to learn more! God answered so many prayers this week. I feel all of your prayers sustaining me! Thank you all so much! I'...

Week 85: Confiando En El Señor

This week was long. We knocked a lot of doors. We also met with probably half the ward and invited them to share the gospel with their friends! Gotta get those member referrals. Here's a little spiritual thought! My favorite conference talk of all time is "Motions of a Hidden Fire" by Jeffery R Holland. I studied it again this week and found something cool: Luke describes Jesus’s descent into His expiation as requiring Him to pray “more earnestly.” How does one who was perfect, pray more earnestly? We assume that all of His prayers were earnest, yet in fulfilling His atoning sacrifice and through the pain that attended its universal reach, He felt to pray ever more pleadingly, with the weight of His offering finally bringing blood from every pore. What I got from this is that when we go through difficult times, we are blessed with a chance to call down the powers of heaven on our or another's behalf. We can either suffer alone, or turn to the Lord and pray, "more...

Week 84: Regresando A Español

Well hey everyone. A lot has happened since my last email. Let me fill you all in! I got transferred from Londonderry. Man what a blessed ward. It was hard to say goodbye to all the recent converts, members, and friends. So many awesome people that love the gospel. But now I'm back in Spanish! It's kind of insane, bc I haven't served in a Spanish unit in almost a year, but im super excited! Picking up the language has been pretty easy, cause I've been training a native speaker, Elder Mauad. He's from Lima, Peru (shout-out to all my Peru serving missionaries) and really loves to work hard. The work has been a bit difficult, the area's been looking a little blank, but we've been finding a bit of success recently. I have a very strong testimony that uncomfortable/difficult situations are where we grow the closest to God. I read a scripture recently about this in Enos: And my soul hungered; and I kneeled down before my Maker, and I cried unto him in mighty praye...
